Laptops can use MountWatcher to automatically mount volumes at work and at home. MountWatcher can also be used to wake computers that are sleeping on an ethernet LAN.

CopyPaste is the original multiple clip utility for the Mac. CopyPaste Pro is the latest version and is a complete rewrite and update. CopyPaste has been massively popular since its first release. What has made it so widely appreciated? Usefulness. CopyPaste magnifies and multiplies the usefulness of the humble clipboard.

One of the revolutionary features that came with the Mac in 1984 was the unique ability to select text or pictures, etc, then copy that data into a clipboard, to hold that content temporarily and then paste it in the same application or a different one. Command-click anywhere in a Cocoa application's text area to open the URL at that point. Some Cocoa applications that come with Mac OS X include Stickies, TextEdit, Mail, Safari and Network Utility.

Control-click (or if you have a multi-button mouse, click with the right button) on a text area, and notice a "Services" menu at the bottom. This menu works the same as the Services menu in the menu bar. You can choose to remove unwanted services from this menu.

ImageCopyCM is a contextual menu item for copying image file data to the clipboard.

The following menu items are available:

• Copy Image to PICT. Put PICT data on the clipboard
• Copy Image to PNG. Put PNG data on the clipboard
• Copy Image to TIFF. Put TIFF data on the clipboard
• Copy Image to BMP. Put BMP data on the clipboard

Preferences. Use the System Preference pane to specify which menu items you would like to appear in the contextual menu. By default all are included.

To use ImageCopyCM: Control click on an image file in the Finder to expose the contextual menu. Then select the menu item for the type of clipboard data you want to copy.

MoveCM is a contextual menu item for moving, copying, aliasing and archiving (zip compressing) files and folders quickly into common folders. i.e. without the need to drag and drop them, use aliases, etc. It is a generalization of the Finder's "Move to Trash" contextual menu item, you can apply it to any folder you like.

Use the System Preference pane to specify destination folders. The contextual menu will then consist of menu items that correspond to these destinations.

Control click on one or more files and/or folders in the Finder, select a destination from the menu, and the files and/or folders will be moved (copied, archived) to that destination. You have the option, specified in the preference pane, to have the destination folder opened for you after the operation completes. You also have the option of having the menu items in the contextual menu named after the destination folder, or by its pathname.

Nexuiz has been in development for close to five years by a team of amateur developers led by Lee Vermeulen. It is a 3D deathmatch game made entirely over the internet. The purpose of the game is to bring deathmatch back to the basics, with perfect weapon balancing and fast paced action, keeping itself away from the current trend of realistic shooters. It uses HFX textures by Evil Lair, and currently has 17 maps in which to frag. With an advanced UI, the user can select between 15 different player models to use, with an average of two skins for each, and can connect to our master server to play people from all over the world.

The gameÂ’s content and source are GPL, meaning that it is entirely free and any of it can be used in other free projects, even if modified. This is a first for any large game project of its type. We hope this will support the free game community, and encourage more GPL projects.

Pixelmator is a layer-based image editor. You can quickly create layers from your photos, other pictures, from selections or even your iSight. Yes, Pixelmator can add a layer to your composition directly from your MacÂ’s little camera. Not only can you link and arrange added layers, but Pixelmator allows you to blend layers, change their opacity, create clipping masks or even add layer masks to hide some portions of layer.

It even has iSight compatibility so you can have it take a picture and add it as a layer for editing.

TWAIN SANE is a TWAIN datasource for Mac OS X that acquires images using the SANE backend libraries. The SANE backend libraries provide access to a large range of scanners connected through SCSI or USB. For a complete list see the documentation on the SANE project homepage. It works with my HP SCSI scanner, and many people have reported success with a large number of different scanners. The feedback from users have helped the SANE developers to fix problems with various backends, so with each release of the SANE backends more of the Mac OS X specific problems have been solved.

I have tested it together with the GraphicConverter, Image Capture, OmniPage and Microsoft Word applications, but it should work with other applications using TWAIN as well. The TWAIN SANE Interface works with Image Capture starting with TWAIN SANE Interface version 1.0.

The TWAIN SANE Interface is provided as a binary package and as source code. To use the interface you only have to install the binary package. Before installing the TWAIN SANE Interface package you should install the libusb and the sane-backends binary packages.

There is also a optional SANE Preference Pane package available, which makes it easier to configure the sane-backends drivers. If you donÂ’t install this package you can still configure the sane-backends using a text editor in the Terminal.
