Bookmark your favorite songs while listening to the radio in your car, even bookmark advertisements to get further information later, once at home.
That's what Xenote is promising with their new iTag. Point the iTag at the radio while it is playing a song you like and click. Then upload the bookmarks later when you are connected to a computer. The Xenote site allows you to get title and artist information and can also link you with an e-commerce site, so that you may purchase the item.
The iTag currently ships with a serial connection, with USB support said to be upcoming. Future iTags are expected to grab contact info from other iTags and sites hooked up to the service.
Currently the iTag is limited to a few stations and cities, but Xenote is promising a large roll out of the service. The iTag service is currently available for:
