Qualcomm wanted to offer the smallest, most fully-featured phone on the market, employing the latest communications technology in an elegant palm-sized pocketable case. Its folding design allows it to fit comfortably in a pocket or purse, or on a belt within its belt holster. It features a large five-line display, ideal for enhanced calling features such as incoming caller ID, short messaging services, and voicemail alerts. It incorporates a 99-entry password-protected phone book, speed dial, ten-number redial, a choice of ringer tones, and a silent vibration alert mode. The phone is software upgradeable to accommodate future wireless data and Internet information access options.
